In order to save tax payer dollars, brush pick-up will be a service that will now be provided by Flood Brothers rather than the City. Brush pick-up services will be provided from April through Mid-December.
- Flood Brothers will pick-up brush on your regular scheduled garbage and recycling pick-up day.
- Residents’ brush must be stacked and tied with a material accepted at the compost site along the curb or street’s edge to be picked up by Flood Brothers.
- Bundles may not exceed 50 pounds in weight per bundle, 4’ long, or more than 2’ in diameter.
- The service is limited to 3-inch diameter limbs and Y sections.
Please do not place brush in the street. Fine brush clippings, leaves, weeds, yard, and garden waste are not accepted with brush pick up, but will be picked up as part of the Flood Brothers yard waste service if they are in brown kraft bags or a 35-gallon garbage can clearly labeled “yard waste” on the container. Alternatively, residents may rent a yard-waste container from Flood Brothers.
After storms or high winds, Public Works will pick up debris on a case-by-case basis.
Please do not blow leaves into the street or rake them to the curb. Public Works does not have the correct equipment to suck up leaves and leaves in the street clog the City’s Street Sweeper.
