Make a Payment

• Bills are mailed out on the first of every month and are due the 18th of that same month. 
• There is a late penalty of $10 or 10%, whichever is greater, that is assessed as of the 19th if a bill is left unapid. 
• Penalty bills are mailed on the 19th and due on the 26th.
• If penalty bills go unpaid, tags are hung on the door of the property and payment is due the next day by 10 am. If payment is not made by 10 am, or an arrangement of payment isn’t made prior, the water is shut off at 10 am and a $50 fee will be added to the account. This fee also includes the cost for turning the water back on.

Water and sewer rates are based on the usage of 1,000 gallons. The rates below are effective May 1, 2025.

Inside City Limits

Water Usage Charges – $9.00 Monthly User Fee+ $4.28/1,000 gallons
Sewer Usage Charges – $10.00 Monthly User Fee (Residential Meter)+ $5.26/1,000 gallons
Minimum Monthly Bill – $24

Outside City Limits
Water Usage Charges – $13.50 Monthly User Fee+ $6.42/1,000 gallons
Sewer Usage Charges – $15.00 Monthly User Fee+ $7.89/1,000 gallons

A $5 Capital Improvement Fee is also charged to each metered user. The $5 capital fee is deposited into the Water and Sewer Capital Fund and only water and sewer capital improvements are expended from this fund. Capital improvements to the water and sewer system amount to $3,369,980 for Fiscal Year 2025-2, including City-wide lead service line replacement, design engineering for a watermain replacement, engineering for dechlor system engineering, and a Wastewater Treatment Master Plan.
