Public Works Department

The Public Works Department is responsible for the maintenance and construction of a wide range of essential infrastructure and services in the City. This includes:

Roadways: Ensuring the upkeep and construction of streets and transportation networks.
Water Mains: Maintaining the system that delivers potable water to residents.
Storm and Sanitary Sewers: Managing the infrastructure for stormwater drainage and wastewater removal.
Potable Water Treatment and Storage: Overseeing the processes for purifying and storing drinking water.

The Department of Public Works is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please call 815-784-2526 after hours for right-of-way maintenance issues.
