DPI Construction will be performing city-wide lead water service line replacements over the next year. This work is part of the City’s continued investment in water infrastructure.
Construction oversight will be provided by Fehr Graham Engineering to ensure the project is completed to City standards.
The project is funded through a 30-year, 0% interest loan from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA), with no added cost to residents.
The City will be completing Phase 1 of a downtown beautification initiative, which includes the installation of new curbs, a brick paver ribbon, tree boxes, sidewalk replacement, streetlights, and parking stall striping.
Phase 2: Crosswalks.
Future improvements are planned, pending grant funding, including the development of a gathering space on Emmett St.
