Refuse, recycling, and yard waste services are provided by Flood Brothers Disposal. Residents on the North side of Genoa are serviced on Mondays with the South Side of Genoa serviced on Tuesdays. Even Numbered Years

• General Primary: The third Tuesday in March (To Nominate Federal, State, Judicial and County Offices. To Elect Precinct Committeemen)
• General Election: The first Tuesday after the first Monday in November (To Elect Federal, State, Judicial and County Offices)

Odd Numbered Years

• Consolidated Election: The first Tuesday in April (To Elect Municipal, Township, Park District, Library District, School District, Community College District, Regional Office of Education Trustees and Fire District Officials)
