Due to the extreme temperatures, City Hall offices will be closed on 1/30/2019. The Police Department is a warming center and will be open 24/7. To call the non-emergency police department for issues such as main breaks, please call (815) 784- 6633. For emergencies, please dial 911.
With the frigid temperatures and forecasted snow over the next week, please stay safe and warm!
The Genoa Police Department is a warming station for anyone in need.
RESIDENTS:
We have received a number of calls from residents stating that they are receiving calls from City Hall phone numbers, (815) 784- 2327 and (815) 784- 7123, and being asked about their energy bills. This is NOT City staff calling you. Staff would not call you to discuss your energy bill. Please use discretion when communicating with these individuals both over the phone and in person.
Winter Storm Warning:
5-9+ inches of snow forecasted from late afternoon January 18th to midday January 19th.
Slowed travel, poor visibility, gusty winds, and drifting snow expected.
