The City of Genoa has issued a $2.5 million bond for much-needed street repairs! This bond will fund street repairs for approximately 29% of the older part of town. Click here to read more.
Trick-or-Treat hours are from 4 PM to 7 PM on Saturday, October 31st.
“Genoa Mayor Mark Vicary wrote in a Friday letter to Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker that no one in the city of about 5,200 residents wants to get sick but they don’t want to see their small businesses fail. He wrote he wanted the governor to look at implementing more innovative solutions, like electrostatic spraying, as opposed to relying solely on data for opening and closure decision making.”

Thursday, October 29th , between the hours of 8:30 AM-1:00 PM, Public Works will be flushing hydrants on South Genoa Street and South Emmett Street from Route 72 to Hill Street. This area may experience periods of low water pressure or discolored water during this time frame.
Thursday, October 15th , between the hours of 8:30 AM-1:00 PM, Public Works will be flushing hydrants on Homewood Drive. This area may experience periods of low water pressure or discolored water during this time frame.
The City will be flushing hydrants on Koch St. and Hill St. on Monday, October 12th, starting at 9:00 am and should end by 2:00 pm.
The City will be flushing hydrants in the area of South Locust Street and South Stott Street on Thursday, October 8th.
