Kishwaukee Valley Heritage Museum
The Kishwaukee Valley Heritage Society was established in 1977 by a group of community members dedicated to preserving historical materials of the area for the future community members to know their roots. In May 1977 the Milwaukee Road Depot was moved to 622 W. Park Ave. and a caboose from Illinois Central Railroad was moved on site in 1985. Along with the Water Works building and the above mentioned structures, the museum has accessed genealogy information, artifacts from early Genoa/Kingston and surrounding area. Visit from 1-5 PM on Wednesdays.
The Kishwaukee Valley Heritage Society hosts several events, tours and brown bag lunches. Visit their website here.
