Public Works Continuing Lead Service Line Inspections

The City of Genoa will be continuing to create an inventory of the material of all the water service lines in the City. The City will be applying for a grant that may pay for the cost of replacing service lines if they are made of lead.

This week, Public Works will be going door to door asking to examine the water line coming into your home. Public Works needs to be able to access homes to determine the service line material. This should only take a few minutes.

*Public Works employees have ID badges, will be wearing a City of Genoa Public Works uniform, and driving a City vehicle. You may also call to verify an individuals employment.

**Please note, this website post is in addition to the formal means of communication the City will be using to reach out to residents. We will also reach out to residents with door tags and/or via mail at a later date.
