Arbor Day Celebration
On Friday, April 26th City of Genoa hosted our annual Arbor Day celebration by planting a Swamp White Oak tree. The tree was dedicated to Jan Melton, retired City Arborist and 30-year Tree City USA award winner. Residents and Public Works employees were in attendance as Mayor Brust presented Jan with a plaque to show our sincerest appreciation. In addition to being the City Arborist, Jan pioneered the Genoa Prairie and Woodland for all to enjoy. Thank you Jan for all that you do for Genoa!
